Shan Re is one of the most versatile artists in India having explored a wide array of subjects and genres such as abstract expressionism, minimalism, figuration and geometric abstraction in several group and solo exhibitions in Bangalore, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco since the year 2000.
Shan’s strength lies in her ability to invoke human sentiment with minimal detailing, flowing colors and simple forms. She often captures her subjects in a moment of contemplation, self-discovery or self-healing.
Shan Re's work is in important private and corporate collections
in India, United States and Europe. She currently lives and
works in Bangalore. She is always possessed by the idea of creativity
and reinvents herself constantly.
